The children, parents , staff and governors are very proud of our hardworking school which has served the local community for more than 100 years. We have a great deal to look back on with pride but we always enthusiastically challenge ourselves to continually enhance our provision for learners as they begin their lifelong learning journey.
Our pupils are valued as unique individuals; we celebrate diversity and respect children regardless of ability, gender, ethnicity or religion. We aim to sustain a happy, caring, supportive and positive learning community where each child can achieve success.
We aim to provide learning opportunities that are age appropriate, broadly based, challenging interesting and exciting so creating a joy and thirst for knowledge. We recognise that children need to take responsibility for their own learning and encourage them as thinkers who question and are inquisitive to find out more and develop their own skills.
